What's New for the 2025 Honda Pilot EX-L?
In 2025, the Honda Pilot introduces the Black Edition at the top of the trim lineup. While the Sport trim continues to be the most affordable way to own this three-row, midsize SUV, shoppers often prefer the EX-L. The 2025 Honda Pilot EX-L offers numerous advanced features not available on the entry-level Sport trim while remaining one of the most affordable trim levels available. There are no changes to the Honda Pilot EX-L for the 2025 model year.
A 285-horsepower, V6, 3.5-liter engine power the Pilot EX-L and all other trim levels. The engine is linked to a 10-speed automatic transmission. On the EX-L and most other trims, front-wheel drive is included. However, all-wheel drive is offered as an upgrade.
The 2025 Pilot has an enviable, modern look with a tall profile featuring a flat hood and roof. The sides show off a support column, a raised definition line at the bottom of the doors, and a modest crease over the top of the doors. The hexagon-style grille displays extended honeycomb-style mesh and is connected to LED-underscored headlights. If you choose the EX-L trim level, your Pilot will have heated and powered side mirrors, an acoustic glass windshield, a power liftgate, LED fog lights, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The Pilot EX-L comes with all of the features available in the Sport trim, including remote ignition, a touch display screen, a sound system, a tri-zone climate control system, keyless entry, heated front seats, ambient cabin lights, a driver attention warning, lane departure mitigation, forward collision sensing with auto braking, lane centering, a blind-spot system, adaptive cruise control, and a few others.
The EX-L builds on these features with the addition of a larger touch display screen, rear-door sunshades, memory settings for two positions, an intercom system, a third-row USB outlet, satellite radio, a wireless device charger, more speakers for the sound system, a power outlet in the cargo area, leather seats and wireless smartphone app connections.
