Performance

The four trim levels for the Passport and the five trim levels for the Pilot carry the same V6 engine. This is a 280-horsepower engine that is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Both models have shift-by-wire, eco assist, paddle shifters, active noise cancellation, hill start assist, and other equipment. While these features are in all of the Passport trim levels, they are not standard or available in some of the Pilot's lower-level trims.

Appearance

The 2021 Honda Passport has the exact dimensions through the wheelbase and width as the Pilot. However, the Pilot is slightly longer from bumper to bumper and somewhat shorter in height than the Passport. Visually, these differences are expressed with the Pilot's more extended rear, more vertical liftgate, and angled side windows. You can appreciate exterior gear like powered and heated side mirrors for both vehicles, a power liftgate with a spoiler, LED lighting, and other modern features.

Features

The 2021 Passport is a two-row crossover with a slightly smaller cabin than the three-row Pilot. Across the front of the cabin, the design and features are primarily comparable at various trim levels. These features are a color display screen embedded in the dashboard, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated seats, a push-button gear selector, a push-button ignition, and an auto climate control system. At higher levels, the Pilot adds a rear entertainment system, heated seats in the second row, and one-touch sliding action for the second row of seats.
