The 2021 Honda Civic is the last model year for the line’s 10th generation. Throughout its trim lineup, it is packed with modern features that today’s driver’s want. Going into the new model year, the next-generation Honda Civic raises the bar with fresh styling and thoughtful updates to features and abilities. After you get to know the differences between the 2021 and 2022 Civic versions, which one will you pick out from our inventory at Honda of Murfreesboro?
The two gas engines offered for the 2021 Honda Civic are also available in the next-generation version. However, they have been moderately tweaked for improved performance. In the 2022 Civic LX and Sport, an automatic stop-start function has been added to the 2.0-liter, 158-horsepower engine. In the EX and Touring options, the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine has been improved to put out 180 horsepower.
The improvements to the 2022 Honda Civic are on full display across the interior and exterior. While the exterior of the next-generation Civic continues to have a sporty side, it has become distinctly more sophisticated as well. Its design has a stacked grille design, defined rocker panels, and a stunning accent line that angles through the side doors. Both the headlights and taillights have a bent LED light bar for added personality. Some of the 2022 Honda Civic trim levels have upgraded exhaust finishers, a trunk spoiler, and 18-inch wheels. Inside, the 2022 Civic’s fresh look includes a redesigned touch display screen and a mesh-like band that runs horizontally across the dashboard. This band camouflages the air vents, and these air vents are adjusted via joystick-style knobs.
The 2021 Honda Civic is a well-equipped car at all trim levels, and the 2022 takes its appeal up a notch with thoughtful updates. The display screen has an enhanced interface for all trim levels, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available. The Honda Sensing® safety suite has the same features for 2021 and 2022, but several of the 2022 version’s assistive features have been infused with new technology for improved performance. In addition, the Touring trim level adds touch-sensitive parking sensors at the front and rear.
