What should you know about the 2025 Civic and the 2025 Accord before narrowing down your options?

Performance

The Honda Civic has four engine options. The LX and Sport trim levels have a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter, 150-horsepower engine with a CVT. The Sport Hybrid adds a hybrid component to this engine for 200 horsepower. The Civic Si features a turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, 200-horsepower with rev-matching downshifts on a six-speed manual transmission. The Type R also has a standard six-speed manual transmission, and this pairs with a 315-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine.

For the Honda Accord, the first two of six trim levels have a four-cylinder, turbo 1.5-liter engine that generates 192 horsepower. The other trims come with a hybrid 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 204 horsepower. Both systems have front-wheel drive and a CVT.

Appearance

The 2025 Civic has a lean design with a long, sloping hood, a swooping roof line and angled accents across the upper and lower portion of the sides. The front end has a slender grille with a protruding bumper and long, LED-topped headlights.

The Accord is a larger model with a clamshell roof and an angled hood. Over the sides, the fenders are slightly flared, and a rocker panel adds an athletic touch. The wide grille is connected to the horizontal LED headlights.
