What's New for the 2023 Honda Pilot?
The Honda Pilot has been a prime option for crossover shoppers who have needed extra passenger seating over the years. Going into the 2023 model year, Honda introduces exciting changes for this three-row midsize crossover. The Pilot has been redesigned throughout the cabin and exterior. There are noticeable changes to the façade. The 2023 Honda Pilot has a stronger stance with larger dimensions and bolder angles. The front end has been completely designed with a modernized grille that features a sharper shape and an extended honeycomb mesh. The bumper has also been retouched and has a long, slender look and tall side vents.
The 2023 Honda Pilot is powered by a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that creates 285 horsepower and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Many automotive journalists have also been speculating about a possible Honda Pilot hybrid model being in the works, which would be the first of its kind. Additionally, the 2023 Honda Pilot has a more rigid frame, which provides improved handling.
The redesigned 2023 Honda Pilot also features a 2023 Honda TrailSport model. Honda says this trim is the most rugged Honda SUV that's ever been available. The 2023 Honda Pilot TrailSport comes with standard all-terrain tires, steel skid plates, front and rear recovery points, a hill-descent control system, a Trail driving mode and expanded all-wheel drive system capabilities, raised off-road tuned suspension with a 1.0-inch lift, and a full-size spare. This model's suspension will feature a front sway bar to help balance off-road articulation with on-road comfort.
Inside, the 2023 Honda Pilot offers 2.4 more inches of second-row legroom and 0.6 inches more of third-row legroom. Standard features include a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, physical knobs for volume and tuning, heated seats, front fog lights, black roof rails, and more. Available features include navigation, leather upholstery, a 9-inch HD touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.2-inch digital instrument display, and more. There have also been improvements made to the Honda Sensing® system of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies.
