2023 Honda Pilot vs 2022 Honda Pilot

Serving Murfreesboro, TN

The Honda Pilot is a three-row crossover that has been a top pick for SUV shoppers in Murfreesboro for more than a decade. In 2023, its appealing qualities reach a new level with the introduction of the Pilot’s fourth generation. Our Honda of Murfreesboro associates take pride in supporting each of our shoppers with their new auto search, and we are excited to help you compare the new 2023 Pilot to its 2022 predecessor.

Performance

The 2022 Honda Pilot has strong capabilities with a 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter, V6 engine throughout its full trim lineup. This is combined with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2022 Pilot’s first three trims have your choice of all-wheel or front-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive becomes standard for the higher trim levels. For the new generation, the 2023 Honda Pilot also uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine, but this one produces 285 horsepower and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The all-new 2023 Honda Pilot also offers up to 7 available drive modes including new Sport, Tow, and Trail modes. In addition, the 2023 Honda Pilot will be offered with a TrailSport trim, which includes steel skid plates, standard all-terrain tires, enhanced off-road suspension, and more.

Appearance

The 2023 Pilot displays larger dimensions and enhanced styling from bumper to bumper. Compared to the 2022 Pilot, the next-generation version has a flatter nose, horizontal headlights, and a large, upright grille. The total redesign results in a Honda Pilot that looks more powerful and rugged than the previous model. The 2023 Pilot also has a refreshed interior. Its new look is defined by a linear theme across the dashboard, an ascending center console, and a floating infotainment system screen.

Features

A few of the standard features for the 2023 Honda Pilot include heated seats, black roof rails, front fog lights, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Available features include a 9-inch HD touchscreen, navigation, a 10.2-inch digital instrument display, leather upholstery, and more. Most of the Pilot's features are similar to or an improvement over what's found on the 2022 Honda Pilot. The 2023 Honda Pilot even comes standard with an improved Honda Sensing® system, so drivers can enjoy advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies.
